What Happens to My Domain Expiration Date When Transferring?
When you transfer a domain to Fast2Host, we automatically add one year to the domain’s expiration date and charge you for one year’s registration. This ensures your domain remains active and secure throughout the transfer process.
Example of Domain Transfer Renewal
If your domain expires on June 2, 2007, you will be charged for one year’s renewal. Upon transfer completion, the expiration date will be updated to June 2, 2008.
Exceptions to Renewal Policy
Due to registry restrictions, if a domain is renewed and then transferred to another registrar within the first 45 days of the renewal date, the domain will not have an additional year added to the expiration date.
Do I Need to Transfer My Domain?
Please note: There is no requirement to transfer your domain name to Fast2Host. You can leave the domain with your current registrar and simply point your DNS nameservers to our hosting.
Transferring your domain to Fast2Host adds convenience by consolidating hosting and domain management in one place. However, you can still enjoy our hosting services without moving your domain.
