Supported Databases on Windows Server 2022 with Plesk

Fast2Host Windows hosting uses Plesk Obsidian on Windows Server 2022, supporting multiple database engines and data sources commonly used by Windows web applications.

Supported Database Types

• Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) - All current versions available as addons
• MySQL 8.x (remote database hosting on dedicated MySQL servers)
• MariaDB (where applicable in Plesk configurations)
• Microsoft Access (.mdb / .accdb) - Supported via ODBC drivers
• ODBC Data Sources including:
  • MySQL ODBC 8 Unicode and ANSI drivers
  • SQL Server Native Client
  • Microsoft Access ODBC
  • Legacy text file ODBC sources

Legacy Database Support

Some older formats are still supported for compatibility:

• FoxPro / Visual FoxPro via legacy ODBC drivers (available on request)
• CSV and delimited text files through Microsoft Text ODBC Driver

If you require a specific ODBC driver, module, or database connector, our engineers can install it for you. Custom components can be added for a small installation fee.

Notes for Developers

• Plesk allows you to create and manage MySQL and MSSQL databases from its control panel
• Remote database connections are supported for development environments
• For Access, place .mdb or .accdb files inside your private folder for security
