How to Add an Email Address or Domain to Trusted Senders in SmarterMail

SmarterMail includes built-in spam filtering to protect your mailbox. If legitimate messages are being marked as spam, you can whitelist specific email addresses or entire domains by adding them to the Trusted Senders list. Emails from trusted senders will never be filtered or quarantined.

1. Log In to SmarterMail Webmail

Open your browser and go to:

https://mail.your-domain-name.com

Sign in using your full email address and password.

2. Navigate to Spam & Trusted Senders Settings

  1. Click the Settings icon (usually a gear ⚙ icon) in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Spam Filtering under the My Settings section.
  3. Click the Trusted Senders tab at the top.

This is where you can manage your whitelist and ensure important emails always reach your inbox.

3. Add Emails or Domains to Trusted Senders

You can add one entry per line:

  • To allow a specific email address:
    example@domain.com
  • To trust an entire domain:
    @domain.com
  • To trust all subdomains of a domain:
    @*.domain.com

After adding your trusted entries, click:

Save

✔ SmarterMail will now always deliver messages from these senders directly to your Inbox.

4. Additional Notes

  • Trusted Senders bypass spam scoring completely.
  • Be careful not to whitelist unknown or suspicious domains.
  • Domain-level trusted entries apply to all accounts on that domain (if set by admin).
