Help with Host Records
DNS records translate domain names into IP addresses used to locate servers on the Internet. Common record types include:
- A (Address) Record: Maps a hostname to an IPv4 address (e.g., 98.124.253.253).
- AAAA (IPv6 Address) Record: Maps a hostname to an IPv6 address.
- MX (Mail Exchange) Record: Specifies mail servers responsible for handling email delivery.
- CNAME (Canonical Name) Record: Creates an alias pointing one domain to another.
- TXT Record: Stores text information, often used for verification or SPF/DKIM email security.
Correct DNS configuration ensures your website and email services function properly. Always double-check your records after making changes.
