How to Access Your Email on an iPhone or iPad (IMAP Setup)
You can access your Fast2Host email on your iPhone or iPad using IMAP. IMAP keeps your emails and folders synchronised across all devices, including Outlook, Apple Mail, webmail, and your iOS device.
The steps below apply to both cPanel and Plesk hosted mailboxes.
1. Add Your Email Account in iOS
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
- Scroll down and tap Mail.
- Tap Accounts.
- Select Add Account.
- Choose Other.
- Tap Add Mail Account.
- Enter:
- Name (your display name)
- Email (your full email address)
- Password (your mailbox password)
- Description (e.g. Work Email)
- Tap Next.
- Select IMAP at the top.
2. Incoming Mail Server Settings (IMAP)
Enter the following details:
User Name: your full email address
Password: your email password
Replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name.
3. Outgoing Mail Server Settings (SMTP)
User Name: your full email address
Password: your email password
Tap Save.
4. SSL and Port Settings
If you see a message saying:
"Cannot connect using SSL. Do you want to try without SSL?"
tap Yes.
Recommended iOS mail port settings
- IMAP SSL: Port 993
- IMAP non-SSL: Port 143
- SMTP SSL: Port 465
- SMTP TLS: Port 587
- Non-SSL SMTP (fallback): Port 25 or 26 (Linux), Port 25 or 49 (Windows)
SSL is recommended for secure connections. If SSL cannot connect, disable SSL and try the non-SSL ports above.
5. Final Steps
- Exit Settings.
- Open the iOS Mail app.
- Your email should now load successfully.
If you still cannot connect, double-check your password and make sure your domain’s DNS and MX records are pointing to Fast2Host.
