How to Synchronise SmarterMail Contacts With an iPhone

This article explains how to synchronise your contacts between your SmarterMail email account and an iPhone using the third-party Funambol Sync App.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. On your iPhone, open the App Store.
2. Tap Search and type Funambol.
3. Tap Search.
4. Select Funambol from the results.
5. Tap Free, then Install.
6. Once installation is complete, open the Funambol app.
7. When prompted, enter your account details.
8. In the Server Location field, enter your SmarterMail sync URL in this format:
   http://mail.yourdomain.com/sync/default.aspx Replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name.
9. Enter your full email address as the Username.
10. Enter the password for your email account.
11. Tap Done.
12. Tap Funambol in the upper left to return to the main screen.
13. Tap Sync Contacts to begin syncing with SmarterMail.

Syncing may take several minutes depending on the number of contacts stored in your mailbox.
