Microsoft SQL Server Support on Windows Hosting

Fast2Host fully supports all major versions of Microsoft SQL Server for Windows hosting customers, including SQL Server Express, Standard and Enterprise editions (depending on your hosting plan, VPS or dedicated server).

MSSQL databases are available on all Windows hosting accounts that include database resources, and can also be added as an optional upgrade through the client area.

Managing MSSQL Databases in Windows Plesk

If your hosting account uses Plesk for Windows, you can manage your MSSQL databases directly from the control panel. Plesk provides tools to:

• Create and delete Microsoft SQL Server databases
• Add and manage database users and permissions
• Import and export databases
• Manage tables, views and stored procedures using the built-in phpMyAdmin-style MSSQL interface
• Connect using remote tools like SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)

To access MSSQL tools in Plesk:

Plesk → Databases → Add Database / Manage

SQL Server Versions Available

Fast2Host supports the current and previous Microsoft SQL Server releases, including:

• SQL Server 2022
• SQL Server 2019
• SQL Server 2017
• SQL Server Express editions

VPS and dedicated server customers may request installation of specific SQL Server versions as needed.

Adding MSSQL to Your Hosting Package

If your current hosting plan does not include Microsoft SQL Server, you can add it at any time through your Fast2Host Client Area.

1. Log in to the Fast2Host Client Area.
2. Go to My Products and Services.
3. Select your Windows hosting package.
4. Click More Options.
5. Scroll to View Available Add-Ons.
6. Choose the MSSQL Database Add-On and complete the order.

Once added, your MSSQL resources will appear in Plesk automatically and can be used immediately.
