Do I Need to Add WWW When Adding a Domain?
Yes — by default, your domain is automatically configured to work as both:
- domain.com
- www.domain.com
When adding a domain in cPanel or Plesk, you should not include the www prefix.
For example, enter:
domain.com
The control panel will automatically create the www alias (CNAME) for you, ensuring both versions load your website correctly.
This applies to primary domains, addon domains and additional site configurations.
