“UK hosting” is a broad claim. Where your racks actually sit — and who owns the facility — still affects speed, support and sovereignty.
Latency to your customers
Most of your visitors may be outside Cambridgeshire. That is fine: we peer at LINX and LONAP and run our own BGP network (AS48825), so paths to the wider UK and content networks stay competitive. The win is local operational control plus proper peering — not pretending geography is irrelevant.
Data residency with accountability

What to ask any UK host
- Is the DC owned, leased, or a reseller badge on someone else’s hall?
- Which ASN carries your traffic — theirs or a shared upstream only?
- Can you phone a UK engineer at 2am who can walk to the rack?
If the answers are vague, keep shopping. Infrastructure is a product — not a footnote.
