Sending unsolicited marketing e-mail to an individual in the UK is an offence under the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 

Spam can be considered to be any unwanted/unsolicited email communication.

We cannot stress strongly enough how important it is to avoid any emails from our servers being reported as spam.
If you send bulk emails and get Fast2host listed as a spam provider, none of our clients will be able to send email due to the fact that our mailserver will be listed on spam blacklists such as Spamcop.

In an effort to avoid this situation, the following guidelines must be followed:

1. Ensure that all mailing lists contain only "opted-in" recipients.
Ideally, when someone "signs up" to receive email/newsletters, they should be sent a confirmation email
where they have to approve their addition to the list, and not be added to the database until that
confirmation is received. Never add anyone to a mail list unless they have specifically asked to be added.

2. All emails/newsletters should state that they are being received because the recipient asked to be
added to the mailing list.

3. All emails/newsletters should contain clear instructions on how to be removed from the mailing list.
Hyperlinks work best, as people are more likely to simply click on a link to be removed, rather than
send an email asking to be removed.

If you send bulk emails (even from a legitimate mailing list) and your emails cause Fast2host to be blacklisted, your account will be suspended.
