How to access your email via your iPhone

By using IMAP, you are able to log into the SmarterMail Web interface from anywhere and have access to the same messages and folders, as well as accessing them with a desktop application like Microsoft Outlook, and via your iPhone.

On the iPhone select "Settings"

Select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"

Select "Add Account"

In the presented list of mail types, select "Other"

Select "Add Mail Account"

Enter the name, email address, email password and any description.

Press "Save"

Select IMAP as the account type

For "Incoming Mail Server":

Host Name: mail.mydomain.com (replace mydomain.com with your domain name)

User Name: me@mydomain.com (replace with your full email address)

Password: the password for the above email address

For "Outgoing Mail Server":

Host Name: mail.mydomain.com (replace mydomain.com with your domain name)

User Name: me@mydomain.com (replace with your full email address)

Password: the password for the above email address

Press "Save"

When presented with the message "Cannot connect using SSL. Do you want to try without SSL?" select "Yes".

The iPhone will then validate the acount. When this is done exit "Settings".

Your email account should now be accessible via the "Mail" app on the iPhone.
